What is Liquid Rubber SprayGrade?
SprayGrade is a two-component, water-based liquid rubber system applied through specialist dual-feed spray equipment. The components meet at the spray tip to form a rapidly setting, seamless and fully adhered membrane on suitable prepared substrates.
Where does SprayGrade make commercial sense?
It is most often considered for suitable asbestos-cement encapsulation and large commercial roof overlays where the roof size, profile and detailing justify specialist spray application. It is not the right answer for every roof.
How quickly can SprayGrade be applied?
A trained application team can achieve indicative output around 600 square metres per day, but roof geometry, preparation, repairs, access, weather and overspray controls determine actual productivity.
What membrane thickness is used for waterproofing?
Manufacturer information uses approximately 2.7 kilograms per square metre for a 2 millimetre waterproof membrane. The final project build-up must follow the confirmed substrate, detailing and specification.
Can SprayGrade encapsulate every asbestos-cement roof?
No. The asbestos information, sheet condition, fragility, structural support, defects and planned work method must be assessed first. Severely damaged or unsuitable material may require local replacement or removal rather than encapsulation.
Can it be applied in cold or wet weather?
It should not be applied below 5°C or onto wet or frozen substrates, and rain must be avoided during application. Wind and overspray risk are also critical on exposed commercial sites.
What warranty is available?
A manufacturer-backed warranty route may be available on qualifying SprayGrade projects. Eligibility and the applicable term depend on survey findings, preparation, application records and manufacturer requirements, and are confirmed in writing.
Who supplies and applies SprayGrade?
Forti Nova is the UK importer and supports specification, training and materials supply. Project delivery is arranged through trained approved contractors using the specialist application equipment and agreed quality controls.
